The #Baghdad_Women_Association offered a training course to girls and women in Baghdad on job placement in the period 23-25 June 2019.
The activity, the second of its kind, was part of the project "Strengthening the resilience of Syrian women and girls and host communities in Iraq", implemented with the support of UN Women and the European Trust Fund (MADAD).
The course tackled subjects such as job searches, career goals, job description, job placement, CVs and interviews, among others. The course included practical exercises that included writing professional CVs and preparing for job interviews.
The project team aims next to interview private sector employers in various institutions to coordinate the girls' job placements for a period of two months. The team will continue to offer support to candidates during their training and work in their job placements, which will take into account the beneficiaries’ preferences and which will work to ensure a safe and cooperative environment at the workplace.
